Our regional communities are as diverse as our brothers and their ministries. In the traditional sense, religious communities have established houses in which their members reside. The Penitent Brothers live independently of each other, have no established houses and are self-supporting. A brother is mandated to be involved in an active ministry of his chosing with the support and consent of his pastor. These varied ministriies give each community its distinctive charism.
Our communities located in the States of New York, Connecticut and Florida. Each is made up of men dedicated to the Magisterium and Christ's faithful. Based on the spirituality of St. Francis of Paola, each community is required to prayfully support each other. The community is the mechanism by which the brother makes his spiritual journal towards salvation, which is not made alone, but with the help of others making the same journey as ''the brothers servant.''
